Business & Finance Media Group is a full service publishing house. In addition to our lead product, Business & Finance magazine and associated supplements, we have a client publishing business that generates high quality editorial, original graphic design, production and full project management, as well as new media applications.
We currently require an editorial manager for our supplements, features and client publishing departments. The ideal candidate should have experience in a management role and qualifications in journalism or communications. Three years experience is required, with some past experience in a magazine-publishing environment desirable.
The role involves management of an editorial team that produces supplements and features for Business & Finance magazine and that produces editorial content for publications provided on a contract basis for client companies.
Candidates should be good team players with writing, sub-editing and project management skills and must be able to adapt to a fast paced and busy environment.
Duties will include team management, schedule planning, research, feature writing, feature editing, some pr and editorial management, and will involve day-to-day communication with design, production and sales departments.

Production executive with hard work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and excellent phone manner required for a very busy Dublin City Centre publishing company. Duties primarily involve managing the production of advertising copy and the approval of advertising copy for a variety of official client focused magazines, diaries and reports.
Key duties involve:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date spreadsheets of existing and newly sold advertisements for each title (size, position, etc)
Managing the sourcing of advertising copy for each particular advertisement
Managing the proofing of each advertisement to the advertiser in strict adherence to the production schedule
Securing approval of each advertisement from the advertiser
Ensuring that correct version of advertisement is produced in the title
Dealing with any client queries in an efficient and courteous manner
This role is a key position within the company and will suit somebody with the correct temperament, dedication and methodology which will ensure that all advertisements are produced correctly and to the appropriate publishing deadlines. Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation a must. In return we offer a sociable, dynamic working environment with frequent opportunites for advancement and promotion.
Some publishing experience would be an advantage but is not a requirement. |
